What is the best SMTP server for ensuring bulk marketing emails reach the Gmail inbox instead of the spam folder?

I've tried ServerSMTP and AWS SES, with all configurations correctly set up, but the emails still ended up in spam.

Cannot answer it in terms of "best", but in terms of "battle tested". In my case, I do use mailjet.com for all mails above "hobby level"-project. Pricing is ok, service is fast and relyable and they do provide a laravel addon to send it over their smtp-relay just like "normal" mails. Personal opinion and experience, no marketing. Tip: Take your time to setup your mailserver with SPIF and DMARC and all will be good ;)

@SPresnac How many emails do you send on average daily or monthly? Were they all delivered to the inbox without any spam issues?

@Sadman I did use it in corona-times for my "corona-testing-software". On average, I had several thousand mails per day (from 6k up to 14k). I had a “received” rate of 99.7% (the rest was just bad mail addresses); can say that cause of 100% of this 99.7% mails have been opened by the customer (to get their test result and their "you are good" certificate back then). So, short answer: had no spam issue, all delivered

Its not down to the service you use, but the reputation of your domain and the DKIM, DMARC and SPF settings being correctly defined.

@Snapey, I heard something about warming up the email ID before sending bulk emails. Do you really think so? If so, can you give me some ideas about this? Previously, I correctly defined all, but after finishing the setup, I started sending bulk emails with a new web email account and mail goes to spam

@Sadman Never heard of warning up an email.

Just make sure you adopt the latest standards as indicated.

What exactly are these 'bulk marketing emails'? @snapey gave the best solution to your problem but it also sounds like your emails are spam if you're sending out 'marketing' emails in bulk...

@woddell It would be cold emails or marketing email campaigns. I am now trying to establish a good sender reputation. Gradually, I am increasing the amount of sending.

@Sadman If you're sending lots of cold emails, then they should be marked as spam. That's exactly what spam filters are for. What you're trying to do is circumvent a protection that all email servers are trying to implement, so I think it might be hard once you increase the amount.

Hi @sadman you should look to any of the commercial sites that specialise in marketing emails. Don't even consider AWS SES. It can take 10K clean emails to undo the damage 1 spam flagged email can cause with SES.

You might also want to consider one of the email validation services to ensure that your mailing list is clean

You can try SMTPmart, Mailgun, Sendinblue or SMTPget for better deliverability to Gmail inboxes. Ensure you have proper DKIM, SPF and DMARC records set up.

SMTPServiceProvider, Brevo and SMTPmart are some good options you can try

These are known for good Gmail deliverability when set up correctly:

SMTPwire – Cheap, reliable, but needs proper domain setup (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

SendGrid – High deliverability with good Gmail reputation if using a dedicated IP

Warmupsmtp – Solid inbox rate with clean sending practices and domain verification

Dedicatedsmtpserver – Known for global deliverability, especially to Gmail and Outlook

Netcore (formerly Pepipost) – Optimized for bulk campaigns, especially in India

I’ve tested many SMTP services for bulk marketing emails, and getting into Gmail inbox was the toughest. The best results came from this combo:

✅ SMTPwire – Great inbox delivery, easy setup ✅ WarmupSMTP – Essential for warming up new domains/IPs ✅ DedicatedSMTPServer – Full control for high volume sends

What worked for me:

Set SPF, DKIM, DMARC correctly

Warm up your IP/domain before campaigns

Avoid spammy content and increase volume slowly

Monitor reputation with MXToolbox

best Gmail inbox success was with SMTPwire + WarmupSMTP.

Yes, tools like SMTPServiceProvider, Mailgun, and Sendinblue offer bulk email sending with SMTP server options and can integrate with webmail platforms like Gmail via SMTP/IMAP. They support high deliverability with SPF, DKIM, and analytics. Ideal for marketing, transactional, and automated emails.
