Provide a faster way to navigate to later items in a series
So I'm watching the Learn Vue 2: Step by step series on and off, and I am currently on episode 35. When I go to the overview page here, I need to scroll a long way before I get to the desired episode. This is worse with the 100-episode Let's Build A Forum with Laravel and TDD series.
It would be awesome if I could see at a glance what episodes of a series I have or haven't watched, so I can quickly get to the desired episode.
I know there is a recently watched/currently watching list in the Catalog, but I watch multiple series at a time, so it gets messy.
If you go to https://laracasts.com/series?curated it shows recents you are on with percentage. So what do you mean? And really a couple of seconds to scroll down?
It would take as long to focus your eyes on a status area. And what if you skipped around, viewed 1,5,17,30,15,9. Is jeffrey supposed to guess which episode to have ready next? Just a question.
If you took them in order you could keep track and in url increase the number by one when ready to view next episode. Shucks I don't know.
I'm just trying to provide feedback, nothing more. I dislike the negative tone of your reply, I don't feel I really deserve that based on my first post.
Each episode in the list view of the series takes up quite a bit of vertical space and horizontal space is left unused. If you look at this course on Pluralsight for example, you can see that they display quite a lot of episodes at once on the screen. A detailed description of the episode is displayed when the episode is clicked.
A status area would be faster, and you can display the episode you watched last a bit more prominently for example, allowing for quick continuation (yes, this is in addition to the Catalog page).
Okay I totally agree, the Pluralsight page took .25 seconds to scroll down but Jeffrey's takes .75 to 1.00 seconds. You are absolutely correct, I am so sorry.
