Hi there. Total laravel noob here. I'm currently working with a laravel developer but he is not too helpful.
Basically I need to set up a terminal on my computer and generate some SSH keys to access his forge account to gain access to the server.
If someone can help me do this, maybe set up a screen share and talk me through it, I don't mind paying for the hours. I'm just after as much advice as possible. I'm a front end developer with limited knowledge at this kind of thing so any advice would be amazing.
The long term goal is to host my laravel sites on my own server with forge or cloudways and pay someone to update packages and laravel
Thanks Sinnbeck yes I've already come across an error installing a github repository saying:
"That repository name is invalid or you do not have permission to access it. If this is an organization repository, verify that Forge is an approved integration"
I have added the github SSH key to the forge terminal and all the forge application settings are granted on github. I have tried changing the repository to public also but the error is still coming up.
Thanks again
@jwtfd The repository does not have to be public in order to get access. Did you authenticate Forge to be able to access your github repositories? That happens on the GitHub site..
Yes I am now trying to install homestead and I am totally lost, I am a newbie to command line stuff. I have vagrant oracle virtualbox and gitbash, I am getting a few errors pop up in the terminal
