I hear that @JeffreyWay is moving the forum search over to Elasticsearch in the summer, so maybe the Elasticsearch will get done then... We live in hope :)

This ElasticSearch thing sounds interesting. I'd like to know more about it, especially when it's used with a Laravel application. A lesson/series on this would be great!

+1 for ElasticSearch, and a lesson or series on this would be really nice.

++ I'm using elasticsearch on differents project but not with laravel There is some useful feature to implement like aggregations or async indexation I use it with a plugin i've develop on top of elastica for codeignter last year

it's sounds interesting to see best practices or implementation in lesson with laravel !

Just adding my +1 to this, I might dive into one or two repositories I found on GitHub (adamfairholm/Elastiquent and iverberk/larasearch). Both seem to be integrating the ElasticSearch functions into the Eloquent model and automate the process of indexing and searching using ElasticSearch.

I would like to see something laravel + elasticsearch related, yes, but while we are at it we could also hook up vuejs directly on elasticsearch api. That would be nice.

Apache Solr seems to be free so a series about it won't be a bad idea at all :)
