how I fixed it when none of my Auth forms worked

Deployed a fresh installation of Laravel 6 on a virtual machine.

Installed Auth with

php artisan ui bootstrap --auth

None of my auth forms were working. The browser died on "This URL cannot be found"

The solution?

Install SSL with certbot. I hope this helps someone. Auth forms needed SSL to display, but the Welcome page did not.

I don't see how a certificate has anything to do with a url not found.
