Imo instead of diving into a framework first, learn PHP, get familiar with its syntax etc. Once you reach a point of problem solving and understanding the PHP docs. Move on to SQL stuff. Of course you need to be familiar with html and basic CSS first. Though if you want to develop PHP code mastering html and CSS may not be required. But you need to have an understanding.

Check out dev tips over on YouTube for the front end stuff. Get your basics down, then move on to PHP basics. It seems a lot of new devs glance over the basics and dive into a framework and just blindly code and never fully understand what they are doing and rely on the framework magic to make it all work, they hit something more complex then a blog and can't grasp anything more.
