Laracast.com: user polls to influence new features

I have a suggestion to enhance user engagement on this plateform: introducing polls where users can vote on potential new features.

The idea came after reading and sharing my experience on this font-for-code-responses discussion. It would be to present two (or more) options—such as different UI designs, new functionalities, or feature improvements—and let users vote on their preferred choice. For example, if the platform is considering redesigning a section, it could display two different layouts as images and allow users to select the one they like best. The results would then directly influence which feature gets implemented next.

This would not only make the development process more user-driven but also ensure that updates align with the community’s actual needs. Additionally, it could encourage more interaction and investment from users, as they’d feel their opinions actively shape the platform.

What do you think? Would this be a valuable addition?

@remim Love the idea of polls and voting for potential new features, but not design. "Joe on the forum doesn't like the color" is not something I'm interested in.
