Subtitles or scripts for lectures...

This is just an opinion of mine...

I'm not a native English speaker, so even though all the lectures have really kind and exact pronounced speeches, some parts are hard to understand only by listening.

I know this is a kind of annoying works, but if you can provide subtitles or scripts for lectures, I guess that it will contribute much for enlarging the potential of this service.

It is just my opinion. : )

You are not the only one who has come up with this ;)

The feature would be great, however it also takes hours and hours to make it for each video!

Subtitles is especially useful for the hard of hearing.

There are video transcription services that range from $1 to $2 per minute. So he's looking at ~ $15 per video.

Visiting https://laracasts.com/lessons there are 50 videos per page, at 13 pages that is 650 videos. 650 times 15...

( 50 * 13 ) * 15 = ~ $ 9,750 or ~ 90 people paying $9 subscription for a year...

@bobbybouwmann Edx videos go through automatic speech recognition to produce caption and transcript. They use external service from Cielo24 or 3 Play Media.

@Tetravalence True, however more than 2 years ago the tools weren't that good and an external service might make mistakes which is not ideal in a tutorial video ;)
