This morning, when connecting to Laracast, I noticed that I don't have any avatar anymore whereas I didn't updated anything on the social network from where the avatar was taken.
Yup, mine too. @vincent15000, yours appears to be taken from Twitter, while mine is from Github, so it would appear something’s gone awry in the API to both those sites.
From a quick scroll through the front page, it looks like the only profiles that have their avatars intact are the ones who have no social media links at all, so presumably ones where the avatar is stored directly on Laracast, so perhaps it’s just something in the basic shared code that connects to other services to fetch avatars.
@kokoshneta How is it possible to add my own avatar directly on Laracast without using the one from a social network ? I tried, but not found where to do that.
@vincent15000 I don’t actually know. I remember looking for a way to do it when I signed up as well, without luck. But some users do have avatars without any social media links, so it must be possible somehow.
Hey, everyone. The service we use, Unavatar, seems to be having some downtime. I'm looking into it now.
Update: Okay, this is fixed now. The urls that Unavatar provides suddenly stopped working on us without notice. I had to update them all to the new versions. Very strange.
