Notifications menu not working under FF

As of yesterday, clicking on your avatar in current FF 68.0.1 (mac, current OS) produces this js error

The menu still shows and the links under "me" all display and work, but when you click on notifications, nothing shows up even though the bell icon is indicating mentions.
