hey there! was there a change so it isn't possible anymore to view laracasts videos on mobile devices?
it always worked for me without any issue, but since two weeks or so no video whatsoever loads for me. i just see the video description and discussion below. actually everything is there except the video. even if i switch and request the desktop version of the page, the video doesn't load...
I'm on Android v9, Chrome mobile v72.0.3626
am I the only one having this issue?
thanks for any recommendations what i should do..
(of course i tried the obligatory restart of chrome and phone multiple times)
ok, let me reformulate my question:
are laracasts videos still supposed to work on mobile devices (as they have been working for years now), or has there been a change within the last two weeks?
(regardless if anybody thinks it's a too small screen to watch the videos)
just want to know if there's an issue with my phone / mobile browser or if something on laracasts changed (which is ok, just want to know so that i can stop searching for an solution)...
OT: yeah, it's a small screen, but while traveling it's better than no laracasts at all, and yeah i can still see what's going on)
@cyberest1919 I'd edit this post and put it in the "feedback" category instead of "general." They look through that forum as it's aimed at the laracasts website, but don't necessarily look through the other channels when looking for problems with the website.
Videos also worked for me using Chrome on Android 7, and an older tablet running Android 6.
Does it work if you're connected to wifi from somewhere you know it works (like verified working on on desktop or something) vs cellular data? It could be a Vimeo issue. Where are you located?
@CRONIX - yeah, i think it's a Vimeo issue.
i'm currently traveling Indonesia, and now that you mention it: i think since i switched data sim to the Indonesian one the videos stopped working. although i have 4G and really good DL speed all the time... maybe something is blocking from the Indonesian ISP..
didn't had an opportunity to verify with the desktop yet.
thanks for all the other (useful) replies as well! at least i know for sure now that the problem is related to some of my stuff..
ok. thanks to all your useful replies this is now solved for me. it seems that in Indonesia the ISP blocks vimeo totally (at least Telkomsel for sure).
player.vimeo.com refused to connect.
so it's not a laracast issue at all. thanks for your help!
