How do I permanently delete my account

I simply wish to delete my account but cannot find an option in the account section.

Any hints?

What? Laracasts isn't GDPR compliant?

And it seems they still aren't GDPR compliant risking being shut down over billions of dollars in fees per user.... They need to fix this. I'd hate to see such a great service get shut down.

They don't need to provide automatic deletion function. Contact them and I'm sure they will comply with your request, if ithe requirements are fulfilled.

Just scroll down to the footer section and click on the Privacy menu point. Over there, you can find these lines:

"Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data."

By applying these practices, they are "GDPR compliant" (if they respond within a given time period).

So, go once again to the footer section and click on support. Write them an account deletion request and wait for the response.
