Cannot load laracasts on iOS 9

Just wondering if anyone else has issues visiting the site with iOS devices at all.

I'm currently unable to visit the site at all with my iPad mini (iOS 9) using either chrome, safari or opera - the site just either causes the browser to reload multiple times (safari/chrome) or crash the browser entirely (opera).

I've tried the usual things - clear caches/try private browsing/reinstall app/reboot device - in fact the only thing I haven't tried yet is resetting the device entirely.

Any thoughts?

Just tested it on an iPad mini 3

Tried upgrading to iOS 10 or 11? :P

I've had the same problem with my old iPad mini, through multiple versions of iOS.

I think it may be a memory issue. Laracasts seems to be using a lot of javascript nowadays, and older devices just can't cope.

Might be worth seeing what running processes you can clear out?

Thx for the insights @bashy but an iOS update is off the table as the device is no longer supported - the current version of iOS 9 is the best I'm gonna get and @MikeHopley you're probably right, I seem to be able to load the discussion boards but not the main site areas.

Download and use Chrome/Firefox for iOS. That seems to work for older versions of iOS.

Firefox requires iOS 10 and I am using chrome already.

Try resetting the ipad to clear all cache with holding the power button and the home button until the ipad shuts down and restarts. But, don't release the two buttons until you see the Apple logo. After that, try using Safari again and make sure any extensions like ad blockers are turned off. Ad blockers can cause all sorts of issues with the loading of libraries.

Resetting cache already tried, restart iPad already tried, no ad-blockers in use.

I'm inclined to agree with @MikeHopley and the issue is the lack of memory on the device while using a js heavy site.

Shame this device is looking like it will become less and less useful to me as I only use it for browsing and watching the odd video or streaming Spotify.

Nope, never solved - moved to a Samsung tablet
