I am on homestead and would like to deploy my production site to aws elastic beanstalk. There are not that many information deploying laravel 5 to AWS EB online, so any helpful link or tutorial on how I can seamlessly achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
@rflipo-dev I haven't used either Forge or Envoyer with Elastic Beanstalk. My deployment flow has been manual as my projects have been smaller. I believe Envoyer could be easily adapted in a workflow with Elastic Beanstalk. As for Forge, I believe that Forge works kind of like Elastic Beanstalk, in that it sets up the necessary EC2 instances and load balancers. That makes it seem that Forge wouldn't fit in a workflow with Elastic Beanstalk.
@jimmck thanks for the link to my blog! An updated production guide is coming next month.
To my knowledge, elastic beanstalk builds your infrastructure for you, including deciding the flavor of linux used. In that case, it's Amazon's own flavor of linux, which is based on Fedora. This also installs it's own setup and configuration, which will be very different from what Forge expects.
I don't believe forge can be used alongside Elastic Beanstalk. EB can be used instead of it, however.
