Does anyone know the best way to host a laravel built website? I mean what is the best hosting sever I can acquire to make sure my project is hosted properly on live production server?
I was thinking about rackspace.com where they give you a dedicated server but it costs $150 bucks a month.
You have to set the server up yourself. If thats a problem, checkout Forge or Envoyer. They can be used to set your site up in just a couple minutes. Both are built by the same guy who makes Laravel and are built specifically to get Laravel sites up on servers.
Yup, loads of VPS/Cloud options. You will need to know how to set a web server up though (even a bit with Forge/Envoyer as well for debugging). If you want help in setting a server up with DigitalOcean/Linode/AWS/OVH/RackSpace, just let someone know on here and we'll help! If you'd like it setup professionally (with latest software), I can set a server/website up for a small cost.
hi zachleigh, I was just curious how dependable is envoyer? i mean what if the site becomes popular and now let's say I have millions of visitors? In that case I have to consider other options or envoyer or forge can help?
@raminjan
To add to the previous answers you can contact DigitalOcean end help them setup up your servers. By my knowledge they can monitor visitors and up your space to how many visitors you have online so lets say you drop an album on the server and you're visitors go up. they can even it out by temporarily up you're server.
Don't take my word for it contact them.
DigitalOcean has an hourly rate so if you have to do it manual before you drop a album you could up it temporarily you're self
