Well I use godaddy and I upload the site via FTP. Plus there are some good links in this post https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/laravel/env-file do not use the env in production.

Deploying a Laravel 5 site in cPanel
I'm trying to deploy my Laravel 5.2 site to my server with cPanel with no success at all. Can anyone walk through what exactly needs to be done for the site to be live. I either end up with an index of/ directory or 500 Internal Server Error :( Any help would be great, it's for my university major project.
