I am unable to use PHP Math class in a Laravel Controller

I am trying to use Math.log10(val) in a controller, When I open the page, I see the following error message

Use of undefined constant Math - assumed 'Math'

Can someone please help me, I have been searching on google, haven't found anything yet.
