processing check box array

I was wondering if there are any examples on processing a checkbox array. My thinking was you would just get the array loop thru the array and process the values.

In view

<input type="checkbox" name="language[]" value="1"> 1 
<input type="checkbox" name="language[]" value="2"> 2 
<input type="checkbox" name="language[]" value="3"> 3

And in Controller, simply catch like this way-

$request->input('language');
