Moving from Wordpress to Laravel website

Hi I have a small tech blog I create posts on ICT, Cybersecurity, Game development, website design and trips I take around Thailand.

I have been tinkering with laravel since version 4 I don't need user registrations as such as I am not selling anything I have seen a few admin panels that might be a good starting ground including

to use as a starting ground each one has some good features I would need for my site such as built in media manager and site stats (which could be done with google - but I like to keep the data as my own)

or would I be better off building something myself from the ground up? in that case, can you recommend any good tutorials or websites?
