mailtrap not working

in my .env file I have this

MAIL_DRIVER=smtp
MAIL_HOST=smtp.mailtrap.io
MAIL_PORT=465  
MAIL_USERNAME=xxxxxxxxx
MAIL_PASSWORD=xxxxxxxx
MAIL_ENCRYPTION=

my username and password hidden. but i get the error saying Connection to smtp.mailtrap.io:465 Timed Out. pls help
