Nextjs or Inertia+React

Hi everyone, I wanted to make make the frontend of my web applications a little bit more modern for better user experience (and itching). I want to know which one of the approaches is better or has a pro/con.

Between react+inertia and nextjs do you have any preferences?

I worked a little bit with react and next before, I loved next , but react was not so lovely for me, specially working with its router. So I was wondering does inertia have any benefits over next? there is so much hype about next13 and I am itching to test it. But I wanted to know id inertia is a better choice.

Is writing an API is so much more difficult than the traditional way? (I have experience with express.js and JWT) I mean does it need much more effort? Is state management different in each one? Please consider Commerce websites and some portals with user activities and interactions.

I just want to know your opinion to choose my path. Many thanks in advance
