Laravel Mix + PhpStorm = Lag

Hi,

I'm constantly experiencing a 1-2 second lag in PhpStorm when switching windows from browser to the editor while Mix is watching for changes. The npm run watch command is running in the built-in console in Powershell(Windows). During this lag editor doesn't respond at all, cannot type, cannot switch tabs. Has anyone experienced similar issues and knows how to fix this?
