Recommendation for Laravel Printed Book

Note: My suggestion is to print a pdf version to get updated version of laravel, instead of buying hard copy.

@mikestratton Laravel Up and Running is by @mattstauffer - he has written many blog posts about Laravel topics so I imagine it's a good book :-)

What is my concern about printed book is you might not able to get the latest version of laravel. Laravel is updating so fast.

Surely Matt Stauffer is very good guy, contributed a lot for laravel, however, this book has 3rd Edition 2016, so that you are getting Laravel 5.3 version, however, currently Laravel 5.5. is going on.

That's why, for at least Laravel, I personally don't prefer to follow any hard copy book. I always read lot of content from online articles. Print it out if you need hard copy... todo..:)

I purchased the Laravel Up and Running book everyone mentioned. In regards to the “current version” of Laravel comments and the need to have the book that has the latest version, I disagree. A strong foundation in any version of Laravel can be transposed into a good foundation with the current Laravel version.
