PHP Jobs in 2024

Hello everyone,

I apologize if this breaches some code of conduct or I'm just posting in the wrong place. I was just laid off from my employer of 12 years. I had been a PHP developer there for about 7 of those years. Now looking for a new job in PHP and finding job listings REALLY sparse in some cases non existent. I live in the South East United States. I've been looking in the usual places such as LinkedIN, Indeed. & few other well known ones. But everywhere I look its just C# or Java.

Is PHP really just that dead in the commercial market ?? Or am I missing something ?? I can clearly see a vibrant community here and still see Laravel continuing to get better and better. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Plain PHP? I am in EU and I rarely find any job postings for plain EU, usually they go for one of its frameworks.

Try LaraJobs where they post laravel-oriented jobs

Really I'd go for ANY PHP jobs. Especially great if they use a framework. Phalcon, Laravel, even CakePHP. Thank you for the suggestion!

I searched indeed and saw over 300 php job listings in the South East United States.

Found only 9 laravel specific jobs.

Over 4000 in java. 7000 python, I'm wondering if that is accurate.
