Deployment using Git

I'm trying to follow this tutorial to setup a workflow for deploying to the live server: http://www.sitepoint.com/deploy-website-using-laravel-git/

I'm using Laravel 5.1 but for some reason, I cannot find out /app/config/remote.php. Seems it's been removed from L5 and above. Is there a better way to automate the deployment using Git and Laravel?
