Disk space is full, but shouldn't be

Hello, my forge server has two laravel instances on it. they are the same site, one staging, one production. They are very basic sites, no database, just a few pages. Somehow the full 20Gb in my server has been used up, to the point where I cant write files without getting a disk space full message

I'm thinking about restarting the server, but worried if I do, it will crash on restart

checked the logs, not much seems to be going on there, but I found that the folder: /dev/disk/by-label/DOROOT is taking up 99% of the disk space. Anyone have any idea what that is?

ok, I ran a tail on that DOROOT file and its full of errors like this one:

2016/10/10 09:25:59 [error] 2720#2720 *296439469 connect() to unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) while connecting to upstream, client: 217.160.133.121, server: default, request: "GET http://www.netmon.es/moodle/login/index.php", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "www.netmon.esmoddleloginindex.php"

I have no idea what those sites are (malicious?) or whats going on in this error, anyone know?

It might be better to take your backup files and create another droplet and delete the old one. Then, monitor the new one closely with something like New Relic and Summologic.
