ERROR: file_put_contents(C:\xampp\htdocs\instant\storage\framework/sessions/FF): failed to open stream: No such file or directory I am trying to upload my laravel project from Xampp to shared hosting, but I get the error: file_put_contents(C:\xampp\htdocs\resido\storage\framework/sessions/Jmmr9HI35UYdhIfZLDTVlLGjCy5AHiuVK9NfOQuT): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
when I delete the file app/bootstrap/cache/config.php, the application works. however, all the changes I made while working with xampp is gone and I get the old view from the application template.
I have tried:
composer dump-autoload
kindly help please
Don't upload temp views or session data. And make sure to point to public as document root.
@jlrdw Please I'm new to laravel . can you tell me how to go about it?
Upload your project to the shared hosting without cache files.
And to make sure they're delete run
php artisan cache:clear
php artisan view:clear
php artisan config:clear
@MohamedTammam Please read my post clearly
when I try the config:clear comand, all the changes I have made no longer works
how do I upload the project and still keep my changes
I do not want to lose the changes. that's my problem.
thanks
@Gfinity You said that you deleted the config, don't do that. Upload the whole project with all changes you did then run the commands I provided.
@MohamedTammam hello,
I have run the commands you provided. but when I load the application, I still get the old view and not the updated one
@MohamedTammam also, I noticed a folder C:\xampp\htdocs\resido\storage\app was created in my projecte root directory
@Gfinity have you cleared your browser cache as well?
@Gfinity Did you run the commands without deleting the config?
@MohamedTammam yes
I didn't delete the cong.php file
When I first ran cache:clear, it failed and said I should make sure I have the right permission
Then I ran
View: clear, then
config:cache
Before cache:clear
@Gfinity When you say, you're getting the old view, do you mean the old content or old style or both?
@MohamedTammam both the old style and content
Just like I haven't changed anything in he template at all
Uploaded images, texts, fonts, etc
I can still see my uploaded images in public/storage folder, but they're not used in the app
@Gfinity
when I delete the file app/bootstrap/cache/config.php
I haven't seen that folder and file. there is:
/bootstrap/cache
@jlrdw that's the one /bootstrap/cache/config.php
How are you calling the images in your view file?
@RayC I uploaded them from admin dashboard sir
