You can use a basic droplet at Digitalocean which costs 5$/month. Cheaper servers you may find also at contabo.com

Dont forget these servers are unmanageable, and you have to install and configure webserver and database on your own.

Like petrit said, you can use DO and a $5 droplet, however you might need MySQL as well which would be additional cost.

I use digital ocean new feature Apps that lets you deploy a laravel application in 5minutes - they do all the configuration for you, all you have to do is connect it to your github or upload files.

I suggest checking out that option.

Alternatively, you can use something like heroku for starters, and once you make money off it you can then go to digital ocean.

But setting up web servers from scratch its a skill in itself as well unless you're already comfortable with it, which I don't think you are if you're asking the question, so that could take some time to learn as well depending what patch you choose - at least talking for myself here.

You can run mysql directly on the web server (at no cost). Suitable for most small sites.

I made some basic research on the tools you suggested .

Heroku:

I have already deployed an app on heroku super easy, free stuff. I think with free i cant use the server at 24 hours a day, using a basic dyno which provides no server sleep and 24/7 running costs 7$. I also added a heroku postgres free of charge, is that what you mean by run mysql directly on server? @snapey

Digital Ocean:

So, after research i found out that i can use docker and host with droplet at DO, as @petrit mentioned. I found an awesome video from Andrew who has also some videos on laracasts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5Nk4VykcUw

My question here is: i did not see anywhere on the video extra payments on database, does droplet supports free database?(free in my case that i have only 5 tables)

I am sorry for asking these maybe stupid questions but i need some basic knowledge in order to dig deeper into some technologies. Any answers are welcome.

Just to reformulate what @petrit and co wrote, with a simple VPS (DO, OVH, ...) you can setup a small website with database (a laravel app)

A vps is your host where you install what you want, web and db servers for instance..
