I have posted some guides on laravel. My way of looking at it is, I do things that needs to be done I don't need praise or a pat on the back.
But I'm old school first learned programming dbase 3 in the late 80's in the AF.

As it stands, if you like what someone shared but have nothing to add and nothing to ask, there's no way to express that beyond leaving an inane "Thanks!" comment. This discourages users from posting original content like guides, as they are less likely to receive feedback about their guide especially if it is merely informative and doesn't contain much of anything meriting further discussion.
Although maybe that's by design? Now looking at things it kind of feels like part of the forum is setup to be a purely "questions and answers" sort of thing. On the left sidebar your posts are called "My Questions" and posts are sorted between "Solved" and "Unsolved."
At the same time though there are categories for "Guides" and "Tips"--are those meant to be questions about already existing guides and tips? Or are they meant to be for sharing your own guides and tips? And if so how does that fall into the question/answer paradigm?
