Nova vs. hand crafted Admin area using Quasar or similar

Hey guys,

I wanted to know where you are on the question of using Laravel Nova as base for an admin area vs. hand crafting stuff using something like Quasar.

Personally I like Nova quite a bit but I'm not yet sure about the customization options. It seems like if you really need custom views it's quite a bunch of work on level with any other solution.

I'm not a big fan of Material UI which is default and kind of mandatory on Quasar I think I didn't see anything similar based on Tailwind yet (which I would prefer) but for the admin area I don't care a lot about the design of the UI too - Usability should be fine with Material too.

Just wanted to hear what you think about these things.

Cheers, Helmi

Nova all the way. Productivity is unmatched by any other tool. I'm not a fan of how you create new tools (pages) but it is still better and well thought of than competition. Also the support you get is also unparalleled. So in total it is way above the competition (if there is any real competition to it).

@realhelmi I have a quasar app for my public facing app and we just started using Nova for the backend. I wish it were more configurable and/or the documentation was better. Once you need to do more than the 80% it gets a bit tricky. That said, I think I will be able to figure it out and the time saved during that 80% is making up for the head banging trying to get the last 20% to work.
