OAuth1.0a vs OAuth2

Is OAuth2 more secure than OAuth1.0a these days?

Last time I checked it wasn't but it was a fair while ago. Reason being - I'm about to create an API which needs the best possible security provided and I'm looking at solutions with Lumen and have come across laravel passport - all my research has pointed towards 1.0a but more and more people seem to have switched to 2
