Laravel Forge - Hosting WordPress Multisite

I'm familiar with Forge and been using it since past several months to host my Laravel sites. However, today I tried installing WordPress on a forge server.

Regular install works well; but I faced following problems -

There is no direct way of editing wp-config file right from the dashboard.
I am planning to create a multi-site network using WP. This seems to be an issue; because you can't simply add subdomain1.domain.com and expect it to work with https enabled.

Is this possible on Forge or am I missing out on something obvious? If not, is there any alternative to Laravel forge for WP Network (Multisite) installations?

You can contact Laravel Forge for support on this. You are a paying customer and you are allowed to contact them. But I feel that you probably need something built for WP. Try spinupwp.
