Is there any way to grab a domain name for free? Without buying any hosting provider.

You can find domain names for a very low cost per year, but I haven't seen free domain names. Curious, why free when some are low cost and passed on the the client anyway.

Buy your own domain similar to shivamyadav.com and deploy your projects to apple.shivamyadav.com, banana.shivamyadav.com, cherry.shivamyadav.com etc.

These names of any number would be free for you, you would pay for a base domain only.

Having your own domain is useful anyway.

Not really free but domains like <6 or more figure number>.xyz cost less than a dollar per year on cloudflare. I think that's the cheapest available.

Cloudflare sell domains at cost. I'm a bit fan.

Basically no, and you probably would never want a 'free' domain name, as that registrar will probably lock you into paying, and or they will keep it and resell the domain name for a fee.

A domain name is simply a human-readable address on the internet. It maps a name to an IP address (and vice versa) and does not require a hosting provider by itself.

A hosting provider, on the other hand, is what stores and serves your website’s content.

It’s generally best to keep these two separate. You can purchase a domain name from a reputable registrar for around $10–$20 per year. After that, you can choose a hosting provider (or set up your own server) and point the domain to wherever your content is hosted.

@shivamyadav lol.

Do you not think everyone would use that provider instead of buying domains through a registrar if there really was a free way to get them?

In short, a fully free domain is very rare. Some services offer free subdomains, but not a real standalone domain.
