Laravel Forge and Envoyer

Hello,

I just purchased laravel forge and envoyer to test deployer for a month. Now, I am trying to test it.

I am following this tutorial: https://laracasts.com/series/envoyer

I eventually choose custom VPS. It has to be a VPS right? I only have shared hosting is that possible to use envoyer and laravel forge?

I don't think so. It has to have access to shell/terminal over SSH. You can get VPS as low as 2-3 USD so I'm pretty sure it can be almost as cheap as shared hosting. Once you add your server it will install everything for you so just give it a bare VPS that you get out of the box.
