Can't click on 'mentions' menu using current Firefox

Just what the title says. I'm checking out firefox and so far the only thing I've noticed on this site is that when you have mentions, you can't click on the little bell icon next to your profile image in the site header. It only shows the dropdown (profile dropdown) when hovering/clicking that area, but not the mentions menu.

Using the current Firefox on Mac.

I've got the same issue with Firefox on Windows 10.

This is really annoying. I have to keep a 2nd browser around so I can log in with that just to clear the mentions icon. Please fix this if possible @JeffreyWay

I begrudgingly resorted to creating a bookmarklet for this:

javascript:(function()%7B%24('%23user-notifications-toggle').click()%7D)()

It just triggers a click event to the notifications toggle. Just create a bookmark, and use the above code for the "location". Whenever you need to open the panel, just click on the bookmarklet. Please fix @JeffreyWay; Firefox is not an obscure browser.

You know you could just use chrome...

Why should I use chrome just to use this site properly? I got rid of chrome and this is the only site I have issues with. The newer Firefox is much faster than chrome, and I've become increasingly wary of the data google collects from chrome.

Oh big deal about the data google collects about you. Don't sign in if you're so worried. And there's not really a noticeable difference in speed between firefox and chrome; if you notice a difference, it's probably your computer.
