@JeffreyWay I truly hope no one complains about the color this time because I really like it and I think it's very pleasing to the eye.

@Prez - Did you manually change the fonts in that screenshot, or are they not showing up for you?

no big deal, but i'd love to see pagination on top as well somewhen in the future.
imho way more convenient on multi-pages threads

Tnx @JeffreyWay for reducing the Line-height and list-item margins. Much improve, Such readability, Wow

@frezno I would agree on mult page threads but not so much on the main page. Especially not a mobile device barely room now, but a desktop PC there would be more room.

@JeffreyWay

It's hard to read "I really don't like this", when I just spent two long weeks working on it.

Just try not to take it too personally.

Its so easy to be brutally blunt in a forum post or tweet etc, in a way that the majority of people would never do when face to face.

and when alls said and done its only code :-)

regards

l. ps: its def looking better for the tweeks!

@londoh @JeffreyWay

People are here providing personal feedback because they care. It just means you are doing something right.

Providing feedback = People want to stick around. Personally, you are the best teacher in programming that I had ever come across. Take the criticism with a grain of salt. :)

Really like this new design! Couple of things I noticed though.

  1. There's a fairly odd behaviour on the catalog page. When a lesson is hovered over, the episode name turns bold, but the link (either the series or episode name) you hovered over is also underlined. The background of the row is also darkened. In my opinion, the entire row for each episode should be clickable, and the only feedback should be the existing background change.
  2. I think that the forum pagination should perhaps take you to the top of the discussion, rather than the very top of the page.
  3. Is there any plan to integrate the episode comments with the account system. It just feels... weird... to have an account, but the comments use disqus
  4. On the reply update screen, the cancel button turns the same shade of blue as the update button, which IMO, defeats the point of having hover feedback. Perhaps it should go to a darker shade of grey?

Header is a little nicer now; still needs less padding though :P

That "New Conversation" button just keeps looking so darn lonely, wherever it's put.

I know there's a lot of conflicting feedback going around, but I think its spiritual home is above the filter button :)

@jeffreyway Haters gonna hate... ;) You can't make something that everybody likes.

What I personally can't stand is the entitlement people think they have. Just because you're a customer, doesn't mean you have anything to say.

@prez Maybe I was wrong, but that's the way your post (and others) came across.
