error upon opening Vue Devtools: Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded vue devtools

I get Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded upon opening one of my recursive items in Vue Devtools. However, my application works fine if I don't open Vue Devtools...

Any ideas on how to debug this, to find out what is causing this?
