Removing unused css with Vite

I am working with SASS, Vite and Laravel, and I'd like to know if there's a way to remove unused CSS, since libraries such as fontawesome add a gigantic amount of useless classes. I've seen something about adding PurgeCss to the project, but that has been of no help, since I added and [apparently] configured it properly, and still nothing changed.
