Getting error when doing run dev or run build in vite

It is a new laravel 10 project using laravel nova.

Here is the error I recieve.

PS C:\Users\m\Taiglich> npm run build

> build
> vite build

'vite' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
