Where to learn the basics of mocking?
I have really embraced the concept of TDD by learning how to write tests, but one thing I simply cannot get my head wrapped around is mocking. I don't understand what purpose they serve and so my mental model can't "compute" how they work. Like I know that the Mockery package exists, and that's where my brain gives up.
If you have any resources that you found helpful in demystifying them, I would really appreciate the recommendations because I'm feeling like a complete idiot right now.
