Unknown database ':memory:'

I get this error when I try to run my test. I tried this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55234838/laravel-phpunit-unknown-database-memory but it did not help. Any advise?

phpunit.xml

<php>
 <server name="APP\_ENV" value="testing"/>
 <server name="BCRYPT\_ROUNDS" value="4"/>
 <server name="APP\_URL" value="http://localhost"/>
 <server name="CACHE\_DRIVER" value="array"/>
 <server name="DB\_CONNECTION" value="sqlite" force="true"/>
 <server name="DB\_DATABASE" value=":memory:" force="true"/>
 <server name="MAIL\_MAILER" value="array"/>
 <server name="QUEUE\_CONNECTION" value="sync"/>
 <server name="SESSION\_DRIVER" value="array"/>
 <server name="TELESCOPE\_ENABLED" value="false"/>
 </php>

The code causing the error

class RouteTest extends TestCase{
    use RefreshDatabase;
    public function test_all_get_routes_no_arguments_logged()    {
        $this->seed();
    }
}

Have you installed SQLite 3 on your computer?

catalin12's avatar

@Tray2 yes, look here:

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22478.1012]
(c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Catal>sqlite3
SQLite version 3.36.0 2021-06-18 18:36:39
Enter ".help" for usage hints.
Connected to a transient in-memory database.
Use ".open FILENAME" to reopen on a persistent database.

I'm only guessing here, but did you maybe cache the config? I have no idea what happens in that scenario during local development. But I guess you can try it.

@bugsysha yes, check it
