PHPUnit: Database Testing without a framework

On PHPUnit 9 I can't find database testing section. The only link I can find via forums is docs for older versions. See link below: http://www.phpunit.cn/manual/current/en/database.html Is there a reason this chapter was removed on later versions of the docs?
