Blisk Browser for testing site design and functionalities
Hi. I've installed and is using Blisk Browser (https://blisk.io/) and also testing my site in Firefox and Chrome. Is Blisk reliable? Do you do the same or blisk is a waste of time? Thanks!
Good question. I just downloaded it. I noticed one image isn't working. Not sure if that's because of my code or that it is Blisk. I will try tomorrow.
Looks like an exact copy of chrome. But with some extra features. So I guess you also could use chrome.
@sweijdt I have noticed my AJAX success like printing an HTML onchange of a dropdown doesn't show in the mobile view rendered. I was thinking if I need to test something then it should be the actual device or browser? What do you think?
It's quite expensive to have a lot of different devices. It's cheaper to use a service for this like Blisk. But I'm not sure about blisk. Try it with google chrome to find out if it is blisk. Maybe chrome has the same issues. Read this:
https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/device-mode/
There are a lot of services out there where you can test. Browserstack for instance. If you search for browserstack alternatives with google search you'll find lots of apps.
Accuracy.. You'll have to ask blisk users or search google how accurate google chrome is in device mode. When you follow that link, they say the performance is different. But there could be more drawbacks.
I tried Blisk and I liked it, but I have now uninstalled it.
My issue with it is purely principal, no where on their front page or menu does it mention that it is a monthly subscription service, so you download it, configure it, use it and then suddenly it locks down because your free session has expired and prompts you to upgrade.
Looking at their website again after I got locked down I could only find a small pricing link in the footer. I'm not going to play $9.99/mo to a company that mislead me.
@SaeedPrez Hahahaha no way!!! I didn't notice that, I just watched intro movie and it says at the end that "It's FREE, secure and time-saving". Nice try blisk.
