Spark Home View Not Showing Anouncements

I don't even know where to begin with this one. My home view page doesn't show any announcements. It does get the icon that shows if their is a new announcement, but when you click on it and go to announcements, nothing is there. However, if you go to any of the other pages and click on the announcement button, the announcements are there. What am I missing? I would put code here or some examples, but I am not sure where to begin.
