Spark Classic was a full application boilerplate using Vue as the main frontend. The new spark strips that away and only focuses on subscriptions and billing. This makes it free to use whatever frontend you want

spark classic vs spark next
Hey there!
Taylor just released the new version of spark but the documentation is quite thin, specially concerning the advantages (if any) comparing to spark classic.
Does anybody know the trade-offs between the two versions?

@t0ne No. Spark Next is just a billing and subscription management portal now.
Spark Classic, with the kiosk, was more a SaaS starter kit, and its features have since been moved to Jetstream.

Making the frontend more flexible is a big plus, definitely but it seems there are less features out of the box in Spark next compared to classic. Taylor didn't show anything about the kiosk in his screencast.

@brunofenzl That’s because there isn’t one. Spark Next is just a billing and subscription management platform. All the SaaS starter kit stuff has been moved to Jetstream.
