Manual updates required to upgrade from Laravel 5.2 /Spark 1.0 to Laravel 5.3/Spark 3.0

I recently did an upgrade and found that the auth controllers no longer point to the Spark::auth views. I can fix this by manually updating the LoginController to override the methods which returns the views. Just wanted to confirm that this is what I'm supposed to do or have I missed something?
