Personal note to Jeffrey:
Hi Jeff,
This may come across as a little strange, but I've just had our daughter (she's ~3 weeks old - and yes, my wife did...I just supported her hehe) and it's 2am and I was reflecting on where I'm at in my career etc and have been madly trying to find the equivalent of Laracasts but for Python (I think I have found something similar... but I digress...). When I started way back when, Laravel was pretty new and I had wanted to understand the Java API docs, because they seriously confused me...I wasn't sure if I could just "drop in" [public boolean startsWith(String prefix, int toffset)] for example and it would just work (even though I'm embarrassed to admit it now)... but thanks to your clear and concise way of explaining things, it really helped me to grasp the concepts of Laravel (and coding in general). Some time later (maybe 6 months after my Laravel journey - I was a network engineer at the time but tinkered with Laravel for fun) I re-visited the Java API docs ... and it all made sense. Work has since taken me on a journey where I am constantly using Python for my day-to-day, and I still enjoy tinkering with Laravel, even though my career has taken me other places. More than anything, I just wanted to personally thank you for helping me out on my coding journey, it means a lot and has shaped my career. Thanks Jeff. I hope you somehow read this. You're awesome man.
