Despite clicking on the message, it stays there and I have to click on clear all to dismiss it.
which is weird because, I could have 10 others I have to read.
Now I have no indication of which message has been read and which hasn't.
I find it confusing and a bad UX.
Do you consider it to be a good user experience?
Or, although I don't like such UX, there should be an X to remove particular notification. Because right now you can remove only all. Which if you are active, unlike me, could be an issue if you have 20 or 30 replies in a day, and let's say you are out of town for a week etc...
I would also prefer the number of messages to know whether it's increased or not - but I know I am asking too much and I am almost sure Jeffrey read somewhere that by not showing the number of messages people will be clearing them more often than not - but then why not the X remove button for each notification, right? Or are we still in the page views BuySellAds era and each click counts ;) ?. Still, it's kind of an Apple like behavior and not user friendly behavior, in my opinion.
Another thing I have noticed is that the server is kind of slow for me. I am in Europe. Is laracasts running only on one server in the US? ... Hmm, it's for a separate topic I guess. We should stay topical.
