Laracasts bug: Conversational modal does not open correctly in specific scenario.

Lets say on a single thread page, a blank conversational modal (dialogue box used to type reply) is opened.

Now if I click on ... button on my reply and then click on Edit button, nothing would happen.

What should happen is, the blank conversational modal should be closed or updated into a new modal that should contain the reply content which I can further edit.

Right now what I have to do is, manually close the empty modal and then click on edit button of my reply to get the modal open correctly.
