Forum UI Bug – @ Mention Dropdown Stuck in Fixed Position

Hey Laracasts Team 👋,

Just wanted to flag a small UI bug on the forum:

When I use the @ symbol to mention someone while replying to a thread, the autocomplete dropdown shows up as expected—but it remains stuck in one fixed spot on the screen, no matter where the reply box is or if I scroll the page.

🧪 Steps to Reproduce:

• Go to any forum post and click "Write a reply".

• Type @ and notice the dropdown appears.

• Try scrolling—dropdown stays fixed and gets visually detached from the cursor or input area.

It’s a small thing, but I thought I’d share it in case it helps improve the experience for others.
